Autumn, the best season in Shenzhen – bright sun, fresh air, sapphire sky. On Monday, Harrow Shenzhen welcomed our first batch of students to campus.
In the early morning, the School Leadership Team (SLT) were waiting at the front gate of the Auditorium, as well as the entrance of Harrow Little Lions Early Years Centre to greet every founding student and family. Students, dressed smart in their brand new uniforms, officially started their education journey with us.
Safety has always been our No.1 priority at Harrow Shenzhen. The campus is cleaned and disinfected by our staff on a daily basis before students arrive. Students also get their temperatures checked and hands sanitised before being allowed onto the campus.
With more than a month’s online learning, many students have already made good connections with peers and teachers. They could not be happier being able to meet face-to-face with one another.
Before starting their first day of class at the world-famous private school with more than 400 years of history, teachers organised orientation tours for every class to help students get familiar with the school and facilities.
Though there is no whole-school Opening Ceremony due to the pandemic control, every class celebrated the school opening by presenting the students with their Enrolment Certificates and specially designed founding gifts.
The core values of Harrow – Courage, Honour, Humility and Fellowship- are shared around in school.
‘A school is nothing without people’ – it is the new Harrovians who have filled the School with good cheer and we look forward to the extraordinary years to come.
