During my four years at Harrow, I have tried to participate in the competition. As my skills gradually improved, I grew and kept trying. Surprisingly, nerves and anxiety did not bother me much before the competition start, but honour did. After a wonderful performance by everyone, I am very pleased, and winning seemed less important compared to the thing that brings us together, music. Finally, I want to say a huge thank you to my parents, teachers, the music department, the green cloth I use to wipe the keys, and myself for my hard work.

In the Instrumental Advanced category, Dora (Y7) and Evanie (Y9) stood out as highlights of the competition! Their masterful techniques and emotionally charged performances entranced the audience.

I feel a surge of excitement when I step on to the stage. Every beat I play is a way to express my emotions and share my passion for music. Seeing the clapping and excitement in the crowd fills me with an immense sense of purpose and gratitude. Being able to convey my love for drumming and seeing people enjoy it is truly the best feeling in the world!

In the Piano Intermediate category, Season (Y7) captivated the judges with his distinctive stylistic interpretation, securing first place, while MuChing (Y3) was the runner-up.

After the competition, I felt full of joyfulness when I heard my name being called up to the stage to collect my award. It was pure happiness. Aside from being happy with mine competition, I made a lot of friends during the competition which helped me lift my thoughts of the competition and giving me the chance to relax and remembering how to play my piano piece.

In the Instrumental Intermediate category, Eason (Y8)  and Evie (Y3) each won first and second place, respectively,  showcasing their unique musical styles and charm with their instruments.
