Our English language program is designed to be tailored and responsive to the needs of our students. We work closely with our students to identify their strengths and areas for improvement. Where it is required, we work closely with students, their parents, and teachers to develop individualized learning plans that meet their specific needs. This allows us to provide targeted support for individuals, monitor their progress, adapt to their needs and optimize their chances of accelerating their skill level.
Our program emphasizes the development of students’ reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills. We believe that these skills are interconnected, and proficiency in one area can enhance performance in the others. Our teachers use a variety of teaching strategies, including immersive language experiences, group discussions, and individualized feedback, to help students build their language skills. These strategies are not only used in isolation during their Literacy lessons. These are strategies that are interlinked throughout all of their lessons, from Geography to Science.
At Harrow Shenzhen, we believe that language learning should be an active and engaging process. We use a communicative approach that encourages students to use English in authentic and meaningful contexts. We provide opportunities for our students to interact with native speakers of English, participate in extracurricular activities, and engage in cultural exchange programs.
