the House Music Competition 2026!
What happens when heroes, villains
and six fiercely proud Houses take over the stage?
You get big voices, bold performances,
unexpected musical twists
— and an auditorium
that comes alive with excitement!
This year, the Harrow Shenzhen House Music Competition returned for its seventh anniversary with a theme made for drama:
Forget ordinary singing performances. Our students stepped into the spotlight to bring iconic songs, unforgettable characters and their own creative interpretations to life.
But here’s the real question: Who gets to be the hero, who dares to be the villain, and which House steals the show?
Let’s rewind the action!
Six Houses
Enter the Spotlight…
Every great story needs a soundtrack. This year, our Houses brought six very different musical personalities to the stage.
Churchill House
《Danger Zone》
— Kenny Loggins
Engines on, volume up! With a soundtrack that practically screams action movie, WC House brought the thrill and adrenaline. When the music hits, there’s only one rule: go all in!

Attenborough House
Sunflower — Swae Lee
Not every star needs a dramatic entrance. Bringing a more laid-back, feel-good vibe, DA House took on a modern favourite full of warmth and charm.
Sometimes, the sweetest melodies leave the biggest impression.
Lyon House
I Just Can’t Wait to Be King /
Be Prepared / Roar
Royal ambition, villainous plotting and fearless confidence — all in one musical mash-up! From dreaming of the throne to embracing the power within, JL House brought together three very different moods for a performance packed with personality. Is this the rise of a hero, the making of a villain, or a little of both?

I Need a Hero
The drama is building. The stakes are high. And the world is waiting for someone to step up! MC House embraced the spirit of the ultimate heroic anthem, bringing courage and determination into the spotlight. Cape optional, confidence essential.
Deng Xiao Ping House
Ways to Be Wicked
Who says you have to play nice all the time? DXP House turned up the mischief with a song that celebrates attitude, rebellion and a touch of trouble. Sometimes, being a little wicked is exactly what makes a performance unforgettable!
Deng Xiao Ping House
Song Qing Ling House
Demons / Legends Never Die
Every legend has a battle to fight. Exploring the darker side of Demons before rising to the powerful spirit of Legends Never Die, SQL House brought together two contrasting moods in a story of struggle, strength and the determination to rise again.
Six Houses. Six musical identities.
Six chances to leave the audience talking.
And the best part?
No two performances told
quite the same story.
The Results Are In!
The music stopped, the excitement built, and the results were finally revealed…
John Lyon
wins 2026 US House Music Competition.
A huge congratulations to our winning Houses! And to every student who performed, rehearsed, encouraged a teammate or helped bring an idea to life — you made this year’s competition something special.
Of course, every competition has its winners. But some of the best moments cannot be captured by a scoreboard.
The Real Magic Happens Behind the Scenes
Here’s something you won’t necessarily see in the final performance: the hours of practice, the shared ideas, the nerves before stepping on stage and the encouragement that keeps everyone going.
Behind the scenes, older students helped younger Housemates find their feet. Teams gave up extra time to rehearse. Familiar songs were reimagined, creative risks were taken, and students worked through the challenges together.
And that is where the real magic happened.
Because being part of a House is not simply about performing in the same colour. It’s about showing up for one another, finding the courage to try something new and discovering that a team can achieve far more together than any individual can alone.
The trophies celebrate the results. These moments tell the bigger story.
At Harrow Shenzhen,
legends aren’t simply sung about.
They’re built together
— one voice, one House
and one unforgettable moment at a time.
So, which House
will rise to the challenge next year?
The stage is waiting…
