A Creator Who
Decodes the World with
a “Programming Mindset”
“I really didn’t do too much practice,” Denny admitted when asked about the secret behind his high score—an answer that may come as a surprise. His confidence, however, is a result of a deep immersion in the world of programming since Year 5.

“I love coding—everything follows logic and fits together perfectly.”
At Harrow Shenzhen, Mathematics and Computer Science are not dry subjects to him. Instead, he sees them as foundational languages and creative tools for exploring the world.
He not only codes independently but has also co-developed games with his younger brother. In addition, he now teaches the 3D Modelling Club as an extracurricular course. This role allows him to turn a personal interest into leadership and hands-on collaboration.

A Long-Term Believer

Denny didn’t excel in every subject from the start. He openly shares, “I didn’t do well in History initially—my first exam was a C.” His turnaround was driven by a self-developed philosophy of “visible progress.”

To make this tangible, he breaks big goals into small, measurable milestones. At Harrow Shenzhen, his History grade increased steadily from a C to an A. Excellence in any field, he believes, comes from faith in and commitment to continuous progress.

Aiming for Top
Universities to Explore the “Digital World of Tomorrow”
Denny’s future plans are clear and determined: he intends to major in Computer Science and pursue careers in fields such as software and game development. With the support of Harrow Shenzhen’s university guidance team, He has already submitted his university applications. He is aiming for top Computer Science programmes at institutions such as he has already received excellent offers from the University of Manchester, King’s College London, and HKUST, and we are awaiting more in the near future.

The 2026 term marks a new chapter after five remarkable years. Past successes have laid a strong foundation of confidence. The students of Harrow Shenzhen, dressed in uniforms, carry bright and determined gazes.
Step into any classroom, and you will see a student thoughtfully working through a math problem and another articulating a point gracefully in an English debate. You may also notice yet another student sketching innovative ideas on a design draft.
