March at Harrow Shenzhen has been
filled with the fragrance of books.
This year’s Book Week,
themed “GO ALL IN”,
is more than a call to read.
It’s a vivid illustration of
Harrow’s holistic education philosophy:
when you’re passionate about something,
immerse yourself in it completely.

Dress‑Up Day:
When Your Favourite Characters
Step into Real Life
On Friday morning, the campus sparkled with imagination. Fairy‑tale princesses, superheroes, wizards, and detectives filled the grounds. Children arrived at school dressed as their favourite book characters.
As the costume parade wound its way through the campus, laughter and applause filled the air. Parents and children sat side by side, turning reading into a shared celebration.

Student‑Led Reading Celebrations
At Harrow Shenzhen, Book Week is never just organised by teachers. It’s a stage for student creativity:
-
“Reading Gender, Rewriting Narratives” Book Fair & Reading Group: Organised by a student society, this event re‑examined reading from a female perspective. Moreover, this year’s initiative was officially recognised by International Women’s Day!
-
Book Swap & Donation: Led by the Sustainability Team, students took home “new” pre‑loved books. This helped keep the joy of reading alive through a cycle of sharing. Surplus books were also donated to the Nanshan District Education Bureau, extending the warmth of reading beyond our campus.

Book Fair & Book Walk:
Bringing Good Books Within Reach
This week, the Book Fair was open all day in the main building lobby. Parents and children had dedicated time slots to browse and chose books. Meanwhile, the Book Walk in the library ran throughout the week. Led by Ms Jennifer Yuen, children wandered among the shelves, discovering unexpected treasures.
