For the 2025/26 academic year, 

Harrow Shenzhen has fully launched its 

educational system upgrade, transitioning 

from “Excellence Across All Areas” to “SOAR,” 

which reflects our commitment to 

a higher level of holistic education.

arts, sports, and leadership, 

we are witnessing substantial honours 

that highlight our achievements 

under the SOAR framework.

Champion at the Cambridge 

Economics & Finance Competition

A team of three students—Regina W., Koby L., and Jack G.—travelled to the UK to compete in the 2025 Cambridge Economics & Finance Competition Global Final. They were awarded both the “Team Gold Award” and the “Team Innovation Award.” Jack also received an individual Platinum Award, while Regina and Koby secured individual Gold Awards. Regina was honoured with the title of “Outstanding Speaker.”

Global Medals in Mathematics and Logic

In the 2025 UKMT Senior Mathematical Challenge, Harrow students achieved remarkable results: 4 Gold, 2 Silver, 3 Bronze awards, and one Best in School award.

In the UK Maths Olympiad for Girls—designed to break gender bias—four female students(Feifei, Crista, Leah, Selina)  showcased exceptional talent, winning 1 Distinction and 3 Meritawards. Additionally, lower school students( Derek, Jenny, Eden) excelled in the Southeast Asian Mathematical Olympiad (SEAMO), securing 2 Silver and 1 Bronze awards.

Team Gold at the Berkeley Physics Challenge

A team of eight Year 12 students competed against top high schoolers nationwide in Beijing, winning a Gold Award for their team experimental project. They also secured 2 individual Bronze medals in individual competitions, tackling problems at an undergraduate level.

John Locke Essay Competition Distinction

Ingrid (Year 9) and Regina (Year 13) both received the highest honour, a Distinction, at the prestigious John Locke Summer School, widely regarded as the pinnacle of UK summer programmes.

Ingrid also stood out among over 63,000 global submissions to become a finalist in the John Locke Essay Competition, demonstrating exceptional critical thinking.

A Level “Top in China” Award Ceremony

Founding student Roy achieved the remarkable distinction of “Top in China for Pearson Edexcel A Level Geography.” This achievement is recognised globally as a “gold standard” by leading universities. Harrow Shenzhen also proudly received “The Outstanding Person School Awards” in recognition of academic excellence.

Chemistry Olympiad Success

Four Harrow Shenzhen students( Clark T., Justin L., Sam W., Oscar G.) excelled in the October ASOC Chemistry Olympiad, earning two Distinctions and two Merit awards. Their achievements have garnered well-deserved global recognition!

Multiple Chinese Competition Awards

Harrow Shenzhen Primary students have consistently excelled in various Chinese competitions, showcasing their talents:

💫 Eden & Aiden: Silver Award (Open Category) and Gold Award (Year Group) at the Hong Kong Outstanding Children’s Chinese Calligraphy Competition.

💫 Hayley, Wesley, Logan, and Austin: multiple awards at the Guangdong Provincial Children’s Chinese Character Writing Conference.

💫 Angie: Bronze Award (Primary Category) at the 7th National Primary and Secondary Schools “Synchronised Writing” Essay Competition.

Celebrating Success at World Scholars Cup

We are thrilled to share the outstanding achievements of our students at the recent World Scholars Cup. At this year’s regional round, over 400 students from international schools across China participated. 

 

💫Special congratulations go to Savina L for achieving 1st place in the Senior Individual Writing Competition and Yolanda W who achieved 1st place in the Senior Debate Competition. 

💫We are delighted to announce that all Harrow Shenzhen students have qualified for the Global Round in 2026.

World Robot Conference

Year 6 student Derek and his teammates undertook the challenging “NeuroMaster” project at the 2025 World Robot Conference ASEAN division, successfully controlling a robot using brainwave signals and winning the project runner-up award.

Music Talent

Angel (Year 5) won Second Prize at the 2025 Oxford International Piano Open Competition in the UK, receiving her award on the stage of the Royal Academy of Music. She later attended a masterclass at Oxford University, led by the Head of Piano at the Royal College of Music.

Year 11 student Kevin performed at the Vienna Summer Classical Music Festival alongside the Vienna Royal Symphony Orchestra, marking a career-defining milestone.

Diverse Talents in the Spotlight

Year 6 student Austin won a Gold Award in Speech Performance and a Silver Award in Violin Solo at the Macau International Youth Performing Arts Festival.

Year 2 students Bella and Shirley both won Gold Awards in the Shenzhen division of the 9th Golden Bell Young Host Competition, with Bella also securing a National Final Bronze Award.

LAMDA Examinations

In the London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art (LAMDA) global examinations, 100% of Harrow students attained a Merit grade or higher. Among them, Regina W. earned a Gold Award in Public Speaking with a near-perfect score of 95%, equivalent to 30 valuable UCAS points for university applications.

International Art Exhibition Silver Award

Year 6 student Steven stood out at the Louvre International Art Exhibition, earning the “Eiffel Tower Award” Silver Medal and an honorary certificate.

International Equestrian Champion

Year 7 student Milo secured two major achievements this term: champion at the 2025 China Equestrian Tour Shanghai leg and third place at the 12th Beijing International Masters, showcasing composure and competitive spirit.

He also achieved multiple second and third place finishes at the FEI CSI2* Jumping Chengdu 2025.

Year 8 student Hani and her teammates delivered an impressive debut at the 2025 IFAGG Artistic Gymnastics World Cup, courageously winning the global third-place title.

International Brazilian 

Jiujitsu grappling competition

Lila(Year 6) attended the Copa De CHN international Brazilian Jiujitsu grappling competition. She was in the Junior Girls grey belt 10-12 yr old category and beat out all the girls to win the Gold.

The nonprofit “HELLO Trust,” independently founded by Harrow Shenzhen student Casso, has expanded its charitable initiatives to 10 global cities, united over 150 members, and assisted more than 3,000 families. Crystal and Kristie, student representatives devoted to assisting individuals with intellectual disabilities, were honoured with a “Guardian” acknowledgement plaque and shared their philanthropic vision at a “Living Library” event.

This year, the student-led Shaftesbury Committee partnered with the Nanshan District Education Bureau to launch a school-wide fundraising initiative. The Bureau will manage all funds raised, in line with Shenzhen’s “District-County Pairing” initiative, to provide aid such as clean drinking water and teacher training for rural schools.

The students of the Harrow Shenzhen String Quartet were honored to be invited to participate in the 7th “Little Planet” Charity Concert. Through their talents, they helped advocate for a more inclusive and accessible society.
