As familiar melodies fill the
Harrow Shenzhen auditorium once again
the House Music Singing Competition
celebrates its sixth anniversary.
At this milestone, we reflect:
beyond choosing a champion,
what has this six-year musical journey
truly given us?

Six Years in Review
Remember the very first competition back in 2020? Nervous hands, tentative voices, and stages brimming with budding potential.

Over the past six years, we have witnessed:
– Students’ growing in musicality, stagecraft, and dramatic expression
– Harrow values – “Courage, Honour, Humility, Fellowship” embodied through song and performance
– Each house’s unique cultural identity of each House strengthened through shared tradition
Perhaps this is the competition’s most enduring legacy.

Beyond the Trophy: Moments
That Outshone the Competition
– Cross-year collaboration – older students guiding the younger ones
– Voluntary extra rehearsals – true teamwork in action
– Bold reinterpretations of classics – creativity and courage on stage
These moments capture the ethos of Holistic education and true spirit of the Houses.

As the final note fades, we’re already
looking forward to next year’s stage.
Here, it’s not just about who wins –
it’s about every student composing
their own growth story through music.
